Nice to remember the past stuff and cheers that we did last time. Now, we rarely get the chance to cheer as one part. Fond memories are hard to get back. Maybe ORD will be our next and final drill session...

Orientation '08

Was a great success. However, the performances werent near perfect like ours last time =D

Nevertheless, everyone did a great job. Everyone put in their effort to come up with the best performance they could give. Now we await for the arrival of a wonderful batch of the new Part A'08 ^^

Orientation '08(Behind the scene works)

THE BLOODY CAMO NET IS A WASTE OF TIME. but still impressive. we took like 2-3 hours trying to raise the camo net above the salt centre parade sq steps. and now this is how we did it (nxt batch of NCOs pls read closely if you are) : First we borrowed poles from scouts. 2 corners of the camo net was tied to the poles which were then tied to the tall lamp posts. First 1/3 done.

Next, we had to raise the camo net cos it was SAGGING LIKE wtf. even if alfy's height was reduced by 50% (around 80cm) his head still can touch the net cos it was like so low...so we used our creative juices and came up with a wonderful idea - using the poles to support the net.

But how to support the poles? Ingredients - a chair, superheavy boulders and some ropes.

The chair was taken from bunk (poor thing) and the boulders 'borrowed' or rather, taken from the construction site near the street soccer court were moved with great effort to the chair. The boulders are seriously heavy. Lucky gt zhiyi and zhixing dere who were able to help out with the moving of the boulders. Aft securing the chair we placed the pole in a secure position using the chair and tied 2 more poles to the top of the middle pole, hence it was able to lift up the SAGGING net.

Initially we wanted to use the concrete slabs used to cover the drains to weigh down the chair cos it was so nearby. But guess wat was underneath the slabs -

A WHOLE BUNCH OF LARGE AND SMALL SPIDERS eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

lol when the slab was placed on the short wall separating the terraces and the grass patch we realised we just squashed some poor little spiders (some large ones too). We wanted to use a stick to remove the spiders from the bottom of the slabs so that it would be 'appropriate for use'. But then it turns out to be quite a bit of fun. When we touched a rather large spider (bigger than the rest), it was chao cute lor. The spider started to wobble and bounce up and down freaking FAST like 'boingboingboingboingboing' in less than 2 secs, making it look like it was humping the concrete (sorry for the poor visualisation. you should try it urself) Aft that when it dropped onto the floor, we zao abit further behind.

Now for the murder scenes - 1) I took one of the smaller poles and squashed one spider on the floor. The spider was squashed totally like a flat piece of paper on the floor and got some of its remains of it stuck to the pole's bottom (ew) 2) Aaron dropped one large boulder on top of a spider. If i can remember properly, the spider's body kena squashed and one of its legs were separated from the body and landed on the floor. The fun thing was (arent we evil) - the spider's leg was still movinggg and wriggling like lizards' tails which drop off from the lizards 3) wahaha lastly i just killed a spider with my bare hands by smashing a spider on the wall (im ruthless)

Painting the banners

The sketches were done by our dear zitao who drew everything on paper before he flew to china. we used the projector in random classrooms (and kena kp by the estate staff) to project the image on the cloth then used the chalk to draw out the outline. Then the painting was done on newspapers (typical painting banner procedure learnt from the councillors in our part) Nice to look at our masterpieces:

NOW for our previous 2 part activities (the 2nd one was not too good cos of ATTENDANCE)

1st one : Cycling at east coast

W00t funfun i think about 20+ of us went

Now for the picture ^.^

Haha cycled for 2 hours (w00 aaron and jonj learnt how to cycle finally). While cycling we kena caught in the rain -.-" and we wasted about 10 min waiting for the rain to stop (lucky it was a passing shower) den we cont our cycling (look at the wet floor). We took our photo at the jetty above ^.^ Sam wasnt in the photo at that time cause he woke up at 2pm :O
We went to eat next at burger king (partly to hide from the rain as well). Eat and talk cock and restt, after that.........LAN w00t

In the end we played dota at LAN cos the others dont wan play cs. think it was 4v4 or sth. Bay and kiat were playing maple at LAN and they were ksing some guy sitting opposite us with their 13X chief dit and 11X priest lol. bully SIA.

Haha finally the stupid me go trick everyone into taking a loop route (chao fun ^^) Typically the way to get to west coast park is to take 401 and stop. but the bus 401 goes in a loop around fort road and turns back towards bedok. cos i couldnt find a bus stop going in the opposite direction, i decided to tell everyone just take the bus from the same bus stop where we stopped and let the looping bus bring us back to bedok. in the end almost 1 hour passed before we arrived back at the same place where we boarded the bus, just across the road and slightly further ahead. but we managed to talk alot of cock on the bus =D

2nd one : Movie at cineleisure

dont have a group photo for this - i only captured our backs while we were eating at some steps

only 12 of us T.T but the movie was nice and we also had quite abit of fun =D

*one thing we learnt - you dont need to be on time for the movie cause they are going to waste at least 5 minutes of our time showing trailers and advertisements before the movie starts. so whether ur late or not, dont nid to be so kanchiong -.-" jiehan and i were late for the movie and we pia to the movie hall asap aft i met him at the mrt. in the end we rush in it was still showing the bloody trailers...

We watched National Treasure Book of Secrets or sth...v nice thriller

too bad we didnt manage to catch i am legend cos the seats in the movie hall sucked =(

btw we watched it on christmas day itself

The entire orchard road freaking cramped...but it feels great to be tall. After all even when in a crowd if ur tall u can still look around whereas short ppl dont get the privilege of breathing fresh air above the crowd ^^
Our photo was taken at taka(shimaya) when we were eating packed food thanks to the packed crowd which occupied spaces almost at every food outlet or foodcourt. But its nice to have some informal place where we can talk cock and eat freely.
